Mowing Services

Zammit’s Lawn & Landscape provides both Commercial and Residential mowing. Our mowing service includes trimming, edging and blowing. We trim or edge along the foundation of your home or office, fence lines, trees, flower beds, sidewalks and curbs. Our policy is to keep all sidewalks, driveways, curbs, tree beds, window wells, and landscape beds free of grass clippings and other debris.

Mowing Frequency

Frequent mowing helps a lawn resist weeds, insects and disease. Infrequent mowing causes too much grass to be removed at one time. Infrequently mowed grass also produces a lawn that looks thin, spotty or burned. As a general rule, we never cut more than one-third of the length of your grass at a time. Leaf Removal

Leaves piled up on your lawn can restrict sunlight, nutrients and water from reaching your lawn or landscaped beds. As a result, your lawn can suffer from disease, insects and overall stress. We can tailor a leaf removal program to fit the needs of your property to control possible problems your lawn may endure.

Stop spending countless hours of your time raking leaves. Let Zammit’s Lawn & Landscape take care of those pesky leaves for you. Not only will we remove the leaves from your lawn and landscape areas but we'll also take the leaves with us when we are finished.

Spring Leaf Clean-up

Spring clean-ups include a lawn cutting, as well as removal of leaves, sticks, and debris from flower beds and lawn. The cleanup also includes cutting back any perennials that were left standing during the winter season within 2-3 inches of the crown. Spring clean-ups will be done during the month of April, weather permitting.

Fall Leaf Clean-up

Fall clean-ups include a final lawn cutting, as well as leaf, perennial, and annual flower removal from all beds and grass. Perennials will be cut down to within 2-3 inches of the crown. Some perennials having attractive foliage and/or seed heads may be left standing during the winter season. Zammit’s Lawn & Landscape offers 2 Fall Cleanup plans:

Core Aeration & Overseeding

Zammit’s Lawn & Landscape offers a variety of services to rejuvenate or renovate your lawn. Besides our outstanding turf fertilization program, we also offer core aeration & overseeding.

Core aeration is one of the most important cultural practices available for your lawn. Aeration helps control thatch, improves the soil structure, helps create growth pockets for new roots, and opens the way for water and fertilizer to get into the root zone of your lawn. Annual or semi-annual aeration is advised for all lawns on heavy clay soils, those with a moderate thatch build-up, and any lawn that needs to be “thickened up”.

Aeration combined with overseeding is an excellent method for an established lawn to relieve compaction and improve its density. We recommend aeration & overseeding once per season to all established lawns. We uses top quality seed that is free of noxious weeds.

For those who would like immediate results, without the wait for seed germination, we offer Sod Installation. Sodding is the process of applying strips of turf grass to prepared soil, to create an "instant" mature lawn. This is an excellent way to instantly transform the appearance of your landscape. We use only the best quality sod available.

Mulch Installation

Zammit’s Lawn & Landscape offers mulch installation. Below you will find the types of mulch available for installation at your home or place of business. Mulch installation includes bed preparation as well as installation of mulch in all existing mulch beds (unless specified). Bed Preparation consists of the removal of all weeds prior to installation. Bed Edging is also available at an additional cost.

Mulching landscape beds is a great way to add a “clean look” to your landscape. Mulch is usually replenished annually with a 1-1.5 inch fresh layer. While a base of 1-3 inches is desirable, thick layers and mulch piled high against trunks and plantings can be detrimental and should be avoided. Mulch also helps prevent weeds, holds moisture, and in most cases, adds organic matter to the soil.
